Why Wren & Tan
Three reasons clients return for a lifetime.
01
Perfect fit, every time
Measured, cut and adjusted to your body — including the shoulder that sits lower and the stance nobody else corrects.
02
Quality cloth & craft
English and Italian mills, floating horsehair canvas, hand-padded lapels and hand-finished details throughout.
03
Personal styling
Honest advice on cut, colour and cloth weight for Singapore's climate, your office and your occasion.
The bespoke process
Five visits. One garment that is only yours.
Off-the-rack starts with a block that fits an average nobody. Bespoke starts with a blank sheet of pattern paper and your body. That is the whole difference — and it is why the jacket still hangs correctly ten years later.
- 01
Consultation & measurements
We talk through how you live and work, then take 20+ measurements and note posture, stance and shoulder slope.
- 02
Choose cloth & style
Select from English, Italian and Japanese cloth. Lapel, buttons, pockets, lining — every detail is yours.
- 03
First fitting
You try a basted garment, held together by hand. We see the cloth on your body and mark the corrections.
- 04
Adjustments
The garment is taken apart and re-cut. A second fitting confirms balance, sleeve pitch and trouser break.
- 05
Final garment
Hand-finished, pressed and delivered — with your pattern kept on file for every future order.
Fabric & craft
What you are paying for, in detail.
Cloth from the great mills
Holland & Sherry, Vitale Barberis Canonico, Dormeuil and Thomas Mason — including high-twist and tropical weights that survive a Singapore afternoon.
Full floating canvas
A horsehair chest piece is stitched, never glued. It moulds to you over time and keeps its shape after a decade of wear.
Hand-padded lapels & collar
Hundreds of small stitches give the lapel its roll — the single detail that separates bespoke from fused.
Working buttonholes
Hand-sewn in silk on every cuff, along with pick-stitched edges and a fully bound interior.
